Where do Mumbai brides buy a white wedding gown?

Start in Bandra's Hill Road and Vile Parle East for bridal gowns in Mumbai; Kalbadevi adds a customisation option, and Karleo in Dadar–Matunga needs a trading check. The listings below come from Bombay Bride's directory (ratings are public Google ratings as collected for this site in 2026, not Bombay Bride scores) plus the shops' own pages or named press where we could find them.

  • Lasa Wedding Gown, 43 Hill Road, opposite Elco Market, Bandra West. Directory rating 4.6 from 351 reviews. Its own website lists ball gowns, fish-cut, A-line and evening gowns, veils, tiaras, bouquets, ring holders and bride robes, plus communion dresses, and gives hours of 11:30am to 8:30pm (days not stated). It does not publish prices or say whether it rents.
  • Christian Heritage, Kamdar Shopping Center, ground floor, Shop 36, opposite Vile Parle station. Directory rating 4.9 from 51 reviews. A Little Black Book feature (undated, retrieved 14 October 2026) describes a catalogue of white gowns, bridesmaid dresses and accessories, a three-day make time, and advises calling ahead for an appointment. Our directory also carries a separate Heritage Bridal Gown listing (directory rating 4.5 from 466 reviews, with a review calling it the “best designer wedding gown in mumbai”); we could not find an independent source showing whether it is the same shop, so check before you travel.
  • Karleo: our directory places it on Senapati Bapat Marg (Dadar–Matunga); we found no public shop address. Rated 4.3 from 127 reviews, with a review saying it made the reviewer's “wedding gown experience absolutely magical.” A 2017 FashionNetwork report describes Karleo as a label founded in 2013 by Karan Berry and Leon Vaz making demi-couture gowns; we could not find a current website, so confirm it is trading.
  • Adrian Paul – House of Bridal Couture. A WedMeGood vendor profile places the business in Borivali and lists Christian wedding gowns, ready-to-buy and made-to-order. Our directory shows a Khar address (directory rating 4.4 from 77 reviews); the two do not match, so confirm the address by phone before you go.
  • Michelle Rodrigues Bridal, Bandra. Not in our directory. Its own site lists custom bridal gowns and reception and cocktail gowns and says it meets people by appointment only, by WhatsApp or phone.
  • Brides R Us, Kalbadevi, near G.T. Hospital (Lohar Chawl), in our Mulji Jetha & Kalbadevi quarter. A Little Black Book gown roundup (filed under its Delhi section but naming Mumbai shops; undated, retrieved 14 October 2026) says it customises cut, material, embellishments, sleeves and trains; one directory review calls the collection “good” but “very expensive,” so ask for a quote early.

Two of these shops, Lasa Wedding Gown and Michelle Rodrigues Bridal, are in Bandra; see the Bandra — Hill & Linking Road market page for that area, and the map for directions.

Should I buy, custom-make or rent a gown?

Buy or custom-make the church-ceremony gown if fit and photographs matter most, and consider renting for a reception or second look. Our renting vs. buying guide sets out the same logic for the whole wardrobe.

  • Ready-made or catalogue: fastest, and you can see the fabric on you. Ask what alterations are included.
  • Custom or made-to-order: lets you set sleeves, neckline and train. Get a written delivery date and book a fitting before the wedding week.
  • Rental: Jain Collection is listed in our directory as a wedding dress rental service (4.5 from 2,900 reviews), though we have not confirmed it stocks white gowns. The Little Black Book gown roundup names Nisha David Bridal Collection (Malad West) as renting gowns; it gives no street address. Ask about deposit, cleaning and alteration limits.

What does a gown cost, and why we can't quote a price

No verified current price exists for Mumbai gown shops; the only figures we found are undated: from INR 15,000 at Christian Heritage and under INR 25,000 at Nisha David, both from that Little Black Book gown roundup (retrieved 14 October 2026). Treat them as historical and get a fresh quote. Use the budget split guide to decide how much of the overall budget the gown should take.

What accessories does a Christian bride need?

Which accessories you need depends on the church and the look; the lists below are only what two sources say these shops stock. Ask whether accessories are priced with the gown or separately.

  • Lasa Wedding Gown (its own site): veils, tiaras, necklace sets, purses, bouquets, caps, a champagne set and ring holder, and bride robes and slippers.
  • Christian Heritage (Little Black Book feature, undated): veils, tiaras, decorations, men's coat flowers, ring cushions and bouquets.

What should I check about the church before choosing a gown?

Ask your parish priest about sleeve and neckline expectations before you finalise the design, because rules vary from parish to parish and we found no authoritative Mumbai-wide guideline. If the church wants shoulders covered, a bolero, shawl or sleeves can be built into a custom gown from the start.

When should I start, and what should I ask?

Start as soon as the church date is fixed, and see the season-by-season guide for how November to February crowding affects fittings. Questions worth asking every shop:

  • What is the all-in price including alterations, veil, and any hem or bustle work?
  • What is the written delivery date, and how many fittings are included?
  • Can I see the fabric and lining on me, not only in photographs?
  • Is an appointment needed, and what are the hours on the day I plan to visit?

Quick answers

Where can I buy a Christian wedding gown in Mumbai?

Bandra's Hill Road (Lasa Wedding Gown) and Vile Parle East (Christian Heritage) are the best-documented options, with Brides R Us in Kalbadevi (near G.T. Hospital, Lohar Chawl) for customised gowns. Karleo is listed in our directory on Senapati Bapat Marg, and Adrian Paul's address conflicts between sources, so confirm both by phone. Michelle Rodrigues Bridal in Bandra is an appointment-only studio.

Can I rent a wedding gown in Mumbai?

Possibly. Bombay Bride lists Jain Collection as a wedding dress rental service, and a Little Black Book roundup (undated) names Nisha David Bridal Collection (Malad West) as renting gowns; neither was checked for white gowns, so confirm stock, deposits and cleaning terms by phone.

How long does a custom wedding gown take in Mumbai?

One undated Little Black Book feature says Christian Heritage in Vile Parle can make a gown in about three days. Treat that as the fastest case and ask any shop for a written delivery date, with time left for a fitting.
